Hexachrome, HiFi and Multicolor support for building ICC profiles are also incorporated, and there is support for Hexachrome in workflow.

There is a special colour library and an editable LAB library where users can fine-tune spot colours to match colours outside the CMYK colour gamut.

Gimle added that the software also features what is claimed to be improved dithering, over-printing and trapping.

Gimle also claimed that Absoluteproof is the only software on the market that offers Hexachrome proofing, which enables Pantone colour matching of up to 95 per cent of Pantone colours.

Hexachrome proofing now enables proofing of Pantone colours that have been impossible to match till now, added the company.

By using orange and green colours with the standard CcMmYK inks, even Pantone colours, such as 021 and 375 can easily be matched, added the company.

Absoluteproof supports both GretagMacbeth's Profilemaker and Monaco for building Hexachrome profiles.
