Gimle, GretagMacbeth and Roland Digital Group have launched what is described as a complete solution for A Hexachrome-In and Hexachrome-Out proofing workflow systems.

The software bundle includes Gimle's Absoluteproof proofing product, GretagMabeth's systems and Roland DG's Hi-Fi Jet printers.

According to Gimle, the packaging industry has been steadily adopting Hexachrome printing to gain savings in make-ready times and ink stocking.

The company added that with Hexachrome, users can reproduce rich, vibrant solid colours, realistic skin tones and elegant pastels.

The Hexachrome colour gamut is said to exceed that of CMYK, allowing the printer to achieve the same bright, vibrant colours as originally designed on the computer.

Gimle added that until now, there has not been a proofing system that has offered a true digital Hexachrome proofing workflow.
