Gimle has formed a partnership with The Whole Proof (TWP International) to deliver accurate press match proofs for corrugated packaging and folding carton printing companies.

The new substrate is claimed to be compatible with a range of inkjet proofing devices including Epson.

Hugo Kristinsson, Gimle's chief executive officer, commented: "Now printing companies and packaging converters can produce accurate halftone digital inkjet proofs on the same substrates that will be used on the printing press.

We are excited at the opportunity to offer this market the ability to see their prototypes proofed on the same grade stock from top manufacturers such as Smurf-it Stone, International Paper, and Meadwest Vaco." Pierre Ferland, The Whole Proof's chief executive officer, said: "Absoluteproof's Intelligent Multicolor Engine provides the perfect digital inkjet proofing system to complement with our new line of inkjet media.

We can now clearly demonstrate that the semi-gloss coating on our paper can imitate the poly-coated look and feel of popular beverage grade stock including inkload capacity and take advantage of the wide colour gamut supported by Absoluteproof.".
