Giraffe Production Systems has introduced its new Scheduling System v5.0 with the claimed ability to read real-time production data from sensors and controls.
Giraffe Production Systems has introduced its new Scheduling System v5.0 with the claimed ability to read real-time production data from sensors and controls In doing so production systems software is said to automatically re-schedule jobs around contingencies in production at plant level
Giraffe said Scheduling System is an integrated software suite that automates print shop and mailing house production planning and production control through plant simulation and process modelling.
The additional features extend the software's existing capability to automatically re-schedule work due to amended customer order details or amended order priority.
It includes modules for capacity and resource planning, production process control and machine scheduling.
Giraffe said that all major brands of PLCs are accommodated by the software, including Allen Bradley, GE Fanuc and Omron.
