Justsystem will rebrand Jaws PDF Creator and Jaws PDF Editor as Justsystem PDF Suite for sale throughout Japan from Just Myshop - Justsystem's own retail stores - as well as other retail outlets, whilst they will also be available from the Justsystem web site, and under licensing arrangements with corporations, government and education departments.
Justsystem PDF Creator LE, Justsystem's rebranded 'lite' version of Jaws PDF Creator will be sold with the Ichitaro 2006 and Hanako 2006 special pack.
Justsystem signed its first licensing agreement with Global Graphics three years ago to sell Global Graphics' Jaws PDF Creator, as a stand-alone product via its distribution channels in Japan.
The company had sales of 12.2 billion Yen for the year ended March 2005.
Global Graphics added that the PDF market is on the increase because more business users are using the secure file format for document exchange.
Justsystem PDF Suite will offer features, such as the ability to add notes, comments and mark-up, or extract and add pages.
Shipments of the products that will emerge from the agreement are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2006.
Jim Freidah, Global Graphics' chief operating officer, commented: "Justsystem is a dynamic player in the Japanese market with exceptionally good penetration.
We have been able to meet their aggressive product development schedule for Justsystem PDF Suite because of our continuous investment in improving Japanese language support to meet the increasing demand for our PDF software development kits from customers in the region." Justsystem PDF Suite installs the Japanese language versions of Jaws PDF Creator and Jaws PDF Editor on to the users desktop.
It allows them to create documents from virtually any Japanese application in to the universal PDF file format and view, manipulate, merge and annotate the PDF files.
