New MD For Printer As Management Is
Re-Shuffled
Simon Hunt has been promoted to become managing director of Midlands (UK) printer Goodman Baylis following the retirement of outgoing managing director Ian Cranston.
Hunt joined Goodman Baylis in 2006 to launch GB Magazines, a new division of the company, which developed to house all equipment on one site to cater for the needs of magazine publishers, including perfect binding, mailing and varnishing He began his career in the printing industry 27 years ago working in a production office for a web offset printer, where he progressed to become production director looking after all clients technical requirements

Hunt then graduated to sales director for the parent group of companies.
Before joining Goodman Baylis, Hunt had been managing director of the sheet-fed division of the group, taking that business from GBP7 million turnover to GBP13m in a seven-year period, predominantly through magazine production.
Goodman Baylis has also made two other senior appointments as it has rung mangement changes.
Steve Ringrose, who has been in sales with Goodman Baylis for six years has been appointed sales director.
He has been in print all his working life and has been in sales for 16 years, working with such accounts as Jaguar, Land Rover and BMW.
Richard Weaver has also joined Goodman Baylis as works director, previously having been managing director of W3 Litho in Evesham.
Goodman Baylis chairman, Clive Parkes, commented: "We are one of the best equipped printers in the UK now and these appointments will enable us to maximise on the opportunities we can offer to our impressive and growing customer base.".
