CTP and CTF Firm Gear For Growth
With over 20 years' experience as a litho engineer, starting Graphic Output as a a CTP and CTF specialist was a necessary and logical step in the career of Stefan Larsen.
Having had his hopes of a football career cut short through injury whilst playing for the Iceland under-19 football team, Larsen began a course in electronic engineering and started his career servicing graphic technologies Realising that there was no specialist CTP facility in the north west of England that could also provide a back-up service to clients in the event of breakdown, Larsen came to the conclusion that there was potential as a niche service provider

What happened to old-fashioned pen and paper
D and AD, the professional association and charity for the design and advertising communities, has released its annual review.
Although conceived as an outsource facility for CTP and CTF production, it is Larsen's intention that in the future the business will develop in to a full service print bureau offering the latest in digital print and design.
Using an Esko Graphics Image setter, which is backed up by Flowdrive imposition, the output system is currently in-line with what is currently available at the largest repro house, said Graphic Output.
With digital plates being supplied from as large as B1 8 up (820mm x 1,080mm) down to GTO (410mm x 500mm) and optional punches, Larsen said he is keen to promote the flexible nature of his business.
An Esko Graphics Filmsetter claimed to be producing film up to a resolution of 5,080 dots per inch (dpi) maximum film size (820mm x 1,200mm) is also an option should the need arise, with a wide format printer for proofing being implemented soon.
Being managing director of his own company, Larsen is not shy on informing customers that he is also an experienced service specialist and knows his machine inside out.
Based on the Wirral, and perfectly placed near to Liverpool, Larsen believes his company could benefit from the economic growth that could emerge as a result of the city becoming European Capital of Culture in 2008.
