Gretag Macbeth will be showing a new entry-level version of its iCPlate plate reader for conventional and CTP plates at Drupa 2004.

Gretag Macbeth will be showing a new entry-level version of its iCPlate plate reader for conventional and CTP plates at Drupa 2004.

It will join the recently introduced iCPlate II.

The new model, which is fully upgradeable, supports the range of most frequently used offset litho and polyester plate types, with AM screening.

Also at Drupa will be a new version of iCPrint 1.4 software for Spectromat, an automated x/y measurement table that includes a number of enhancements.

Among these the new software version enables all measurements of a job to be stored for later recall of zone and trend data.

It reads the entire colour bar and provides fast, visual, on-screen feedback to the press operator in an easy to understand format, said the company.

Instead of having to remember measurements, the press operator can review measurements over time or over a series of sheets to identify problems and the reasons behind them and more easily make adjustments based on individual ink keys.

The GretagMacbeth stand at Drupa will be in Hall 5, D40.
