Auto Chart Readers Bundled With Colour

The GretagMacbeth iCColor 200 series automated chart readers will now be in a bundle option with Profile Wizard Digi v1.0.
In addition to the Eye-One Pro systems already bundled with the Creo Profile Wizard Mio software, the GretagMacbeth iCColor 200 series automated chart readers will now be offered to Creo customers as a bundle option with Profile Wizard Digi v1.0 Creo's Profile Wizard Digi v1.0 is its new colour management software for digital printing and in an extension of the Creo and GretagMacbeth partnership, iCColor 200 has been selected by Creo as the measurement device of choice for the Profile Wizard software

Bundling the iCColor 200 series automated chart readers with Profile Wizard software will now give Creo high volume customers access to fast, automatic and highly accurate measurement results.

GretagMacbeth's iCColor 200 series of fully digital spectrophotometers is said to read test charts in both horizontal and vertical directions as an automated, high speed, hands-free process, thereby improving precision and eliminating any margin of error in colour measurement.
Designed specifically for colour management applications in pre-press, the iCColor 210 and 211 are claimed to be capable of reading 150 patches per minute, making them one of the fastest spectral chart readers available today, believes the company.
The machines provide colorimetric precision covering the entire spectrum from 380nm to 730nm and they can also be used for taking spot colour measurements to further increase their versatility, said Gretag Macbeth.
Creo's Profile Wizard colour management products, developed for both Windows and Macintosh, utilise the company's colour management technology to give creative and pre-press professionals the ability to maintain optimum colour accuracy for any input device, monitor display, and output device, said the company.
ICC profiles maintain colour quality as the data passes from one device to another.
With Profile Wizard, print predictability and communication are improved, and all the related costs and delays of rework are minimised, with time and material wastage reduced and productivity enhanced, said Creo.
Profile Wizard Digi v.1 and the iCColor bundle is now available via Creo's worldwide dealer network.
