Craig Reid, DuPont's global marketing manager, in making the announcement, said: "DuPont customers rely on our digital proofing and digital printing solution for consistent, repeatable colour.

The success of Cromalin b series, the first and so far only proofing systems in the market featuring an embedded robotic Eye-One spectrophotometer, coupled with our internal and field results, indicate Eye-One is the most reliable and flexible colour measurement device available for this application." He added: "This announcement is another key milestone in continuing our long-term relationship with GretagMacbeth on a worldwide basis." Iris Mangelschots, vice president and general manager of the GretagMacbeth Digital Imaging Business Unit, commenting on the selection, said: "We are extremely pleased that DuPont has expanded the use of the Eye-One Pro spectrophotometer to its new digital proofing and digital printing system.

She explained: "The relationship between DuPont and GretagMacbeth is well established, and the Eye-One spectrophotometer has long been an integral embedded component of the DuPont Cromalinb series proof engines.
We look forward to a continued mutually productive relationship." DuPont will immediately distribute the GretagMacbeth Eye-One Pro spectrophotometer through its worldwide organisation, together with the new Cromalin Largo proofing system and the Cromaprint 22UV digital printing system.
