The Scanprint combines two stand-alone devices, an A0 600 dots per inch (dpi) optical colour scanner with a high resolution A1 thermal inkjet colour printer, all within one multi-function system.

Graphtec said that the Scanprint will be sold by Graphtec Scanprint UK, a division of Softcover International.

The Scanprint is supplied with both the scanner and printer, Graphtec Scanning Arts scan, print and copy software, a desktop scanner stand, Scan2CAD raster editing and vectorisation software and a two-year on-site warranty covering the printer and scanner.

The Scanprint SP200W scanner benefits from the technical expertise, design and engineering quality that has made Japan's Graphtec the leading CIS (contact image sensor) large format scanner manufacturer worldwide, claimed the company.

The system comprises a 36" scanner, which is claimed to be the lightest large format product of its kind available, together with being the fastest monochrome and colour CIS scanner.

Graphtec claimed that the machine introduces the benefits of high quality A0 monochrome and colour scanning and A1 printing and copying to the cost-conscious buyer for the first time.

It offers what is said to be an affordable large format multi-function product capable of colour scanning, fast CAD printing and large format facsimile copying.
