Gravure Press Control Systems Sales Grow

A 24-tower MAN Roland Colorman press at The Times of India has been equipped with CR20 Colour Register Control and CR19 Cut-off Control from Grafikontrol.
Grafikontrol said that it is the only producer able to supply a complete range of products to be installed on rotogravure presses for publications, including CR8 for automatic ribbons control, CR39 for automatic colour register control, CR12 for automatic web shrinkage control and for automatic colour density control, the company offers Densikontrol.
In addition, Grafikontrol also supplies Ravicolor for automatic ink viscosity control and Webscan for automatic paper quality control and web break causes detection.
Grafikontrol added that since 1992 its systems have been installed on 147 publications rotogravure presses, with 82 fitted to Cerutti machines and 65 on KBA presses.
During the last five years, the company said that it has equipped 80 per cent of the new rotogravure presses sold worldwide, including the TR12B from KBA with its 4,320mm web width.
In 2003 the company won the Golden Cylinder Award from the Gravure Association of America for the most innovative company in gravure printing, and the Densikontrol closed-loop colour density control.
