Three new KBA Colora presses, each with four towers and one folder, will be fitted with Grafikontorl's new CR25 and CR25TP colour and cut-off register controls.

Group Poligrafici Editoriale of Bologna (Italy) has ordered the Grafikontrol control systems for its operations in Milan and Florence, whilst the Bologna site will also receive a Commander tower with dryer, equipped with another CR25 colour register system.

That press will have the CR8TS cut-off and sidelay register control and Densiweb for in-line colour density control.

Poligrafici Editoriale has also decided to install the CR25 and CR25TP systems on its three existing Goss Uniliner HT70, each with three towers and one folder for the Bologna and Florence plants.

Grafikontrol added that such an investment will provide Poligrafici Editoriale with a reduction of the waste rate during jobs start-ups, thanks to the automation of the control processes, together with quality consistency during the run.

Group Poligrafici Editoriale prints Il Quotidiano Nazionale with its three editions Il Giorno, La Nazione and Il Resto del Carlino.

The collaboration with Grafikontrol started with the installation of Grafikontrol's equipment on heatset presses at Bologna and on the newspaper presses at the Loreto site.
