The company introduced its Switch range of workflow automation tools at Ipex with around 100 demonstrations taking place on its stand and that of Positive Focus, its UK distributor.

Ivor Dixon, the managing director of Positive Focus, said: "The resellers we have selected have the right blend of experience and expertise and a commitment to customer service that we want to establish for the whole Switch range.

Products like these, which can have a profound effect on the profitability of a workflow, need to be handled intelligently, and integration will be an important part of the overall service." He continued: "We purposely have a separate tier of resellers handling the top of the range products, including the forthcoming server based Powerswitch, which can be comprehensively scripted." Participating tier one resellers, listed on the Gradual website, include: Certitec, Pro2col Group, Rubicon Workflow Solutions, Silicon Systems and Xchange International.

They all have on offer the pre-launch version of Powerswitch.

The user receives Fullswitch immediately with an upgrade to Powerswitch 06 when it is released, saving GBP700 on the release price.

There are also bundles available, with products that feature in common pre-press or PDF based workflows, at reduced prices - saving over GBP2,000 in some cases.

Trial versions of the desktop products, Fullswitch 06 and Lightswitch 06 can be downloaded from the Gradual Software website.

The company has just released the first update for the products, with various minor improvements, problem fixes and an improvement in speed on simple flows that just move and filter files.

Ivor Dixon added: "We expect a regular updating process across the Switch family, as users try new flows and product combinations.
