Workflow Automation Now Adobe CS3
Compatible
The Switch range of workflow automation software is now compatible with Adobe Systems' CS3 versions of Acrobat, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
As well as its continued compatibility with CS2, the new Switch range - Lightswitch, Fullswitch and Powerswitch - update 8 of the software also supports and automatically detects Callas PDFInspektor4 on Mac and Windows, as well as Markzware Flightcheck Professional 6 on Mac PowerPC only The Switch range from Gradual Software is claimed to provide adaptable, scalable automated workflows using standard software from major manufacturers and is regularly updated to maintain compatibility with the large number of third party applications with which it interacts

Software To Automate File Reception Debuts At Ipex

There are also discounted product bundles available with Dev Zero G's Printsure and Nverge following the announcement of links to Powerswitch that enhance the use of job ticket and XMP data in automated file handling and pre-flighting.
Printsure is said to create a direct link between the customer's desktop and Powerswitch, centralising control of the complete workflow, whilst Powerswitch automatically routes jobs based on job ticket information entered by the sender, said Gradual Software.
Printsure CLI, a command line interface version of Dev Zero G's java-based pre-flight engine can now be integrated with Powerswitch, through Gradual's scripting capabilities, allowing users access to the same Ghent PDF Workgroup compliant technology in their internal and external workflows.
