The suite includes Maxpro, which is a pre-press system that is claimed to allow users to edit Maxpro files, apply individual zonal traps to continuous tone (CT), high-resolution continuous tone (HCT) and Linework (LW) elements, as well as permitting the manipulation of process and spot colour plates, either individually or globally to create bespoke separations.
Graphic Republik added that users can also take advantage of masking tools that are unavailable in other software applications to create press ready files.
The range also features Maxstep, which is said to enable the creation of step-and-repeat layouts for a variety of printing processes, such as gravure, narrow format label printing and packaging.
With Maxstep it is claimed that users have the ability to interactively create bespoke step and repeat layouts, or use pre-defined electronic die cut guides to automatically generate layouts according to the requirements of the printer or converter.
Maxstep also provides a range of numbering, user generated or integral plate furniture options.
Maxpro RIP is a postscript level three RIP with features developed specifically for Maxpro, said Graphic Republik.
The RIP is capable of processing PDF 1.7, PDF/X-1a:2001, PDF/X-3:2002, PDF/X-3:2003, PDF/X-4 and PDF/X-4p files.
Maxpro RIP is also said to provide more processing power and greater flexibility to pre-press departments, particularly when dealing with transparency and layer effects.
Graphic Republik was founded in January with the aim of sourcing systems for distribution across the European and Scandinavian graphic arts industry.
The company said it has an agreement with ISIGS, the software development house responsible for Star Proof, to make Maxpro, available to the market.
