Live demonstrations of Horizon's i2i Network Flow JDF bindery controlling an APC guillotine, AFC-546AKT B2 Touch folding, BQ-270 Touch perfect binding and the Stitchliner automated saddle-stitching line, all networked in an integrated JDF workflow, will show how intelligent automated systems can bring quality, speed, flexibility and profit to the bindery, claimed GAE.

The Mitsubishi SDP Eco 1630IIXL polyester CTP system will also be on show.

Featuring an environmentally-responsible process that is claimed to reduce waste chemistry by up to 70 per cent and it is said that it also benefits from a smaller footprint, faster operating speed and lower investment price than other polyester systems.

Lithopod and, from Shinohara, the multicolour B3 52IVP press with perfecting mode, automated blanket wash, automated ink roller wash, semi-automated plate change, remote operation control and claimed production speeds up to 15,000 impressions per hour (iph) may also be viewed.

In addition to the new Mitsubishi and Screen CTP products, GAE is the sole distributor in the UK and Ireland for Horizon bindery equipment, Shinohara offset presses, Grafitec-Polly Offset presses, Perfecta guillotines and paper handling systems and Durselen Corta paper drills.
