R L Moullton owner Dave Moulton, first saw the guillotine on GAE's stand when he visited the Northprint exhibition earlier this year.

Moulton said: "We saw the Perfecta with its slotless stainless steel bed and we liked the fact that it allows the stack to move more freely and reduces waste, It's well designed and solidly built and it went straight to the top of the list." The Perfecta 92TVC with enlarged side tables features a touch screen control with operator prompting and what is claimed to be simple programming, even of complex cutting functions, through full graphic representation, as well as video-like display of the cutting process, said GAE.

Moulton added: "It runs a lot quicker than our old machine and is easier to set up with the computer console.

Storing jobs also means we can work a lot faster and be more flexible.

The console also allows you to see where you are.

We wanted the enlarged side tables because you can never have too much room on the guillotine.

It is good to be able to move work around easier without other jobs getting in the way." And he explained: "Setting it up is considerably quicker.

Last week we had three magazines to get out and we got them finished in record time.

The Perfecta has also improved the look and feel of the final product.".
