Graphic Arts Equipment (GAE) has appointed CJB Printing Equipment as an authorised distributor.

CJB Printing Equipment is Midlands (UK) commercial, office, inplant and on-demand printing systems supplier and in GAE's opinion, it will be able to offer customers a selected range of Horizon, Perfecta and Durselen finishing equipment The relationship will commence with an open house event at its Leicester site to demonstrate the range of equipment the agreement covers on March 11 and 12

A range of Horizon equipment, including the APC-61II guillotine and BQ-150 single clamp perfect binder will be on display during the event, along with the BQ-P6 desktop perfect binder, EF-35 B3 folding machine and the PF-P330 suction-fed automated SRA3 folder.

The QCS300 Collator, Kirikko business card cutter, Fujipla Laminator and a variety of used and refurbished equipment will also be on view.

CJB Printing Equipment' managing director, Chris Boulter, explained that the GAE deal will ensure customers have the capability to remain competitive under increasingly difficult market conditions.

He commented: "We have seen this sector mature rapidly in recent years and this is reflected in the diversity and quality of the printed items our customers are now being asked to produce." And Boulter continued: "This agreement is part of our continuing programme to create a portfolio of products that provide those requirements.

Perfecta, Durselen and, in particular, Horizon have always stood out as exceptional manufacturers of well-engineered, reliable and highly competitive equipment and their latest entry-level and on-demand automated systems will bring exciting new opportunities for our customers to invigorate their businesses." He added that CJB has created an industry workshop resource at its new showrooms in Leicester to allow those interested in exploring production systems an understanding of the latest systems.

Boulter further commented: "Setting this up with GAE has been a smooth process because GAE's understanding of the market and its knowledge of the processes has proven invaluable." Bryan Godwyn, GAE's joint managing director, said: "We are delighted to formalise our partnership with CJB.

We have been working closely with the company for several years and have found it to be a good organisation with a similar customer-focused approach to us.

We are very confident that, together, we will create new opportunities for print operations in this sector to achieve success.".
