Graphic Arts Equipment (GAE) is now the exclusive UK agent for sales and support of the Hamada range of offset presses.

According to GAE the Hamada presses have a significant presence in the high street, inplant and small commercial print sectors.

Established in 1946, the Japanese manufacturer's range comprises 12 models in the portrait and landscape SRA3 and B3 formats from entry-level single colour to more sophisticated five-colour machines equipped with such features as CIP3/4 (PPF), automated blanket washers and an EPS semi-automatic plate loading device.

The presses can also be supplied with optional in-line coating and removable numbering, perforating and resin relief printing units.

GAE's joint managing director, Tony Hards, said: "The Hamada presses are a good fit for us because they sit very nicely alongside the Shinohara range and together with our Mitsubishi SDP Eco polyester plate systems they offer a genuine high quality on demand print option for what is still a very very busy market sector." Fellow joint managing director, Bryan Godwyn, continued: "This is another great development not just for GAE but for the Litho Supplies group, of which we are now a part.

The Hamada will be one of the key products on demonstration at our upcoming 'End-to-End' open house event.

Along with other key products first seen at Drupa - including the new MGi Meteor DP60 Pro and a full complement of Horizon automated finishing systems.

This promises to be a great opportunity for our customers to get a hands-on feel for the file-to-finish systems that can help shape their future." The three-day open house will run from September 9 - 11 at GAE's newly expanded and refurbished 750 square metre showrooms in Perivale, Middlesex.
