Driftgate invests in Horizon StitchLiner

A Graphic Arts Equipment product story

Commercial printer Driftgate Press has added a Horizon StitchLiner and an AFC566 folder to its post-press department.

The JDF-ready StitchLiner features fully-automated makereadies and works from flat four-page section, eliminating the need to fold into signatures.

It is capable of 5,500bph, has an icon-based LCD touch-screen and job memory storage.

Because of the three-knife trim there is no need for pre-guillotining, and it can stitch large block sections which normally need perfect binding.

The Horizon AFC566 folder has a large icon-based colour touch-screen, 17 standard fold patterns (including roll fold, zigzag fold and DL fold), a 200-job on-board memory store, a combination of steel and urethane foam rubber on the folding rollers for good grip and sharper fold, and an advance rotary drum suction-feed system that delivers up to 42,000sph.

It can set up in less than a minute.
