GAE to unveil Hamada B3 press at open house event

Graphic Arts Equipment is to unveil the Hamada B3 press at a three-day open house event at the company's showrooms in Perivale, Middlesex, from 9-11 September.

The announcement comes after the company won the exclusive UK agency for sales and support of the Hamada range of offset presses.

Hamada presses are equipped with CIP3/4 (PPF), automated blanket washers, and an EPS semiautomatic plate loading device.

There are optional in-line coating and removable numbering, perforating and resin relief printing units.

The open house event will also feature the MGi Meteor DP60 Pro, the Horizon AF-406a automated all-buckle B2 folding system, and the Lasermax Roll Solutions unwinder sheeter inline with a Horizon system.

Renz and GBC will also be unveiling some product launches.

The event will demonstrate all print production processes, from file to finish, with live demonstrations of prepress, job flighting, polyester and metalCtp, litho and digital print and every major bindery discipline including cutting, folding, softback, case binding, saddlestitching, wire binding, laminating, drilling, UV coating and trimming.

There will also be demonstrations of the Horizon i2i JDF bindery management system The brands represented include: Mitsubishi Paper Mills, Shinohara, MGi Meteor, Horizon, Perfecta, Durselen, Renz, Italdibipack, GBC, Toppy, Fujipla and Lasermax Roll Systems.

Tony Hards, joint managing director of Graphic Arts Equipment, said: 'Increasingly open houses are being used by suppliers as a way of showcasing equipment.

'Although limited by where in the country the showrooms are, having these informal gatherings can be very beneficial in building relationships and encouraging sales of equipment - both what the company was interested in the first place and any kit that caught their eye on the visit.

'It is also much easier to produce customer-specific jobs at open houses as machines on stands are usually set up to run showpiece jobs.'.
