Callaghan has worked in the IT operations in large companies, including Barclays, American Express and Scottish and Southern Energy, as well as in smaller software houses, gaining experience across the board from software and IT development to system architecture and project management.

In her new role, Whelan will be responsible for developing existing accounts and finding new business for GMC's fast-growing UK operation.

She said: "I bring with me a sound knowledge of systems to address critical business issues in customer communications, which I believe will be of great benefit to GMC and its customers."
