Software personalises direct marketing material
GMC Software Technology will highlight its latest systems for designing and producing personalised print and digital communications at the Transpromo Summit in New York (USA) on August 13-14.
Callaghan has worked in the IT operations in large companies, including Barclays, American Express and Scottish and Southern Energy, as well as in smaller software houses, gaining experience across the board from software and IT development to system architecture and project management.
He accepted GMC's offer to join the company after being impressed with the company's products as a customer, said GMC.
He commented: "I could see the huge potential for growth for the products and service GMC supply and I'm excited and pleased to have joined such a dynamic business.
I look forward to developing strong and lasting relationships with customers through a quality service built on core values of integrity, honesty and trust." GMC Software Technology has also appointed Tracey Whelan as area sales manager for the South of England.
She has joined the digital printing software business from Astron Integration (formerly Lasercom) where she sold enterprise-wide document systems and integration products and services.
Before that, she spent 10 years with IBM.
In her new role, Whelan will be responsible for developing existing accounts and finding new business for GMC's fast-growing UK operation.
She said: "I bring with me a sound knowledge of systems to address critical business issues in customer communications, which I believe will be of great benefit to GMC and its customers." The latest appointments are the latest of a number made by the Swiss-based company during the last few months as it expands its UK base to meet continuing business growth for its document development and production software in the direct mail, financial services, printing, utility and telecommunication sectors.
