The Swiss-based business supplies the PrintnetT suite of personalised communication software to the financial, direct mail, retail, telecommunications, utility and other industries for print and electronic communications, including direct mail, statements, bills, policies, catalogues, correspondence and combined transactional marketing.

During the last year, GMC opened new subsidiaries in Canada and Brazil, and expanded its existing sales and service operations in Mexico, Canada, Japan, the USA, as well as throughout Europe.

GMC's chief executive officer, Dr Rene Muller, commented: "Our remarkable growth shows that customers around the world continue to choose Printnet software as their technology of choice for personalisation.

New sales and service locations, as well as the expansion of strategic partnerships have enabled us to expand in ways that bring the greatest value to customers.

Additionally, our worldwide ISO 9001:2000 certification underscores our full commitment to provide customers with first-class, reliable products and services." It was also cited for exceptional performance in a range of other categories, including design and layout, multi-platform and output support, open standards, and web services for web interactivity, as well as integration with enterprise systems.

During last year GMC further developed its worldwide operation by forming new partnerships with EMC Documentum, Kern and Ndex Technologies.

The company also increased the scope of partner programmes with Compart, HP, Kodak, Oce, RSD and Xerox.
