Pro Line Printing Incorporated has invested in its fourth Goss press in two years with the purchase of another C700i insert press.

Pro Line Printing Incorporated has invested in its fourth Goss press in two years with the purchase of another C700i insert press.

The latest order brings the total number of Goss presses in Pro-Line Printing's stable to 19 machines.

The 66-inch wide Goss C700i press, scheduled to be in production by July, will be configured with four printing units and one folder.

The new press system will be equipped with the Goss Digirail digital inking system that is claimed to provide consistent print quality and minimum start-up waste.

Leslie Dover, partner and president of Pro Line Printing, commented: "The Goss C700i press continues to offer us the excellent quality and productivity that we desire to remain competitive in the marketplace.

That is why we have returned, once again, to Goss to provide what we need." Steven Haire, vice president and general manager of the Pro Line Printing Reno division, explained: "We are seeing the real benefits of the Goss Digirail on our existing presses, which made this an easy choice for further investment.

The presets are unbelievable - there is virtually zero fluctuation in the ink densities once they are set.

Because of this, we are witnessing a reduction in make-ready waste." He added: "Additionally, because there are no ink fountains we have completely eliminated the possibility of contaminated ink." The new system will be the 12th C700 press at Pro Line Printing facilities.

In addition to being the first to equip a Goss insert press with digital inking, the company was also amongst the first to install a Goss Sunday 3000i insert press with gapless blankets.

Pro Line Printing specialises in newspaper inserts and print for major retailers in the USA, including Wal-Mart and Home Depot.

Pro Line has four sites across the USA in Reno, Nevada; Pineville, North Carolina; Arlington, Texas and Avon, Connecticut.

Tom Reardon, senior sales manager for Goss International, commented: "Pro Line prides itself on delivering exceptional quality and service.

Goss is proud to be associated with the company.

Our partnership has enabled us to innovate new technologies to ensure their aggressive growth targets are not only met but exceeded.

We hope to continue to help them succeed into the future.".
