Scotsman Publications, a division of Johnston Press, has selected Goss International to undertake a major refurbishment of the Goss Colorliner press at its Edinburgh, Scotland facility The project will include an upgrade to the controls system and installation of four new Harland Simon Prima 6000 control desks

Increased colour capacity will be gained with the addition of one rebuilt Goss Colorliner tower and one rebuilt Goss HT tower.

John Chambers, Goss's sales director for the UK and Ireland, commented: "Scotsman Publications is taking maximum advantage of its original investment through Goss Lifetime Support services that can extend the life of its press.

Since this is a Goss press, we know the original specification and can make the transition as smooth as possible." To minimise disruption to daily production at the Edinburgh site, the project will be executed in a number of carefully planned phases and is expected to be complete by summer 2007.
