Shaftless Web Press Order For Chinese Newspapers
The Dazhong News Group based in Shandong province, China, has ordered a shaftless Goss Universal 75 press to increase capacity and quality for the publication of its leading newspaper Dazhong Daily.
A specialist in short-run, weekly newspapers, Galeati has increased capacity in response to customer demand.
Giancarlo Ricci, managing director at Galeati, said: "Advertisers want full-colour, premium quality at a reasonable price.
For our customers to satisfy their supporters they require higher pagination and increased colour.
We're responding to their needs by expanding our press line with first-class Goss presses." The Universal 75 tower addition is scheduled for installation in March, when it will join a stable of Goss presses including a Universal 45 and a Community press, installed in 2002 and 1994 respectively and the Universal 75 press ordered in 2006.
Galeati has also completed four extension projects with Goss International; and continues to work with the press manufacturer for the high level of engineering and support it receives, said the company.
Ricci commented: "Goss International helps us to provide a competitive service for our customers by providing us with the excellent quality and productivity we need." Producing four million copies of weekly advertising newspapers for local businesses every week, Galeati Industrie Grafiche was established in 1816.
