Seeking higher splice performance and reliability, Atlantic Press, in Bedford Park, Illinois (USA) has retrofitted a Goss C550 press with a new Goss Contiweb FD flying paster.
Seeking higher splice performance and reliability, insert printing specialist Atlantic Press, in Bedford Park, Illinois (USA) has retrofitted a Goss C550 press with a new Goss Contiweb FD flying paster Larry McInerney, vice president of Atlantic Press, said: "We found that splice performance was having an increasingly adverse impact on our overall efficiency and productivity
The Contiweb FD paster is easier to operate, more reliable and has allowed us to bring our web breaks, downtime and waste levels down significantly." Crews at Atlantic Press worked with the Goss International service team to complete the paster installation in three days in an effort McInerney called a textbook example of how projects need to be planned and executed.
McInerney added: "Our ability to produce at 100 per cent within 72 hours was vital to maintaining a very tight production schedule.".
