Goss International has formed a specialised team dedicated to single-width newspaper press audits and enhancements in North America.

Goss International has formed a specialised team dedicated to single-width newspaper press audits and enhancements in North America.

The team completes formal audits of the mechanical, electrical and lithographic performance of Goss presses and provides rebuild, enhancement and reconfiguration services.

Dennis Panosh and Steve Benford, who have more than 50 years of combined experience, are leading the group.

Greg Blue, vice president heading Goss Lifetime Support services in North America, commented: "We are the market leader in single-width presses, with a large base of presses in operation.

With this higher level of specialisation, we can better help our single-width customers maximise productivity and extend the competitive lifespan of their Goss systems." Blue said Goss International has developed an extensive range of specific enhancement options for its single-width presses and that the company offers advantages over third-party suppliers, including access to original design specifications and parts, proprietary documentation and performance data, as well as specialised experience with Goss presses.

And he added: "Our audits have been proven to provide a valuable blueprint for press upgrades and we have a strong return on investment record when it comes to completing these projects." Panosh will manage the Goss single-width audit and enhancement team.

Benford will serve as technical support specialist, overseeing research and proposal development.

Goss International offers similar, specialised services for double-width newspaper presses and commercial web presses.

The Goss Lifetime Support programme includes parts, service, enhancement and training capabilities for all Goss press and finishing systems, said the company.

More than 300 Goss International employees are dedicated to the Lifetime Support programme in North America.
