Folder's Quality Decisive In Goss Press Purchase

A single-width, one-around shaftless Magnum 4 press from Goss is being installed at US newspaper printer Michigan Web Press in Davisburg, Michigan.

The Goss press will be configured as six four-high towers with a Universal 1:3:3 jaw folder.

At claimed speeds of up to 40,000 copies per hour (cph) the press can provide up to 40 broadsheet or 80 tabloid pages running in straight mode, said the company.

Michigan Web Press currently operates a Goss Community press, comprising of five four-high towers and a Universal folder.

The new Magnum 4 press will brings the business's tally up to 44 Goss press units and two Goss Universal folders.

The equipment is used to print Michigan Web's range of broadsheet and tabloid newspapers.
