Turkish Daily Turns to Goss Community
SSC Press
The publisher of Turkish daily, Kibris Gazetesi has invested in a new Goss Community SSC press to increase its existing pagination and colour print capacity
The press will also minimise waste and open up new business opportunities in the school book publishing market The new press will be installed beginning in September 2007 and will be housed in the publisher's existing modern print facility in Lefkosa, Northern Cyprus

With a current capacity of 20,000 to 30,000 copies per day, Kibris Gazetesi, was looking to invest in new press equipment to provide the higher capacity as well as the high quality colour that its customers are demanding.
The company also wanted sufficient capabilities to enable it to secure contracts for a wider range of products.
Bilge Nevzat, managing director, explains, "We chose the Goss Community SSC press to satisfy the demand for high quality colour printing as well as to attract potential new customers by offering them a wider product range".

Goss International announced that it will have a major presence at Drupa 2004 in May and will present future concepts to drive print.
Mag And Catalogue Printer's Gapless Goss Presses
One of the largest magazine and catalogue printers in North America has ordered two new gapless web presses and three finishing systems from Goss International.
"The new press will be capable of printing up to 56 tabloid pages - eight more colour pages than what we can currently produce".
"This represents a 50 percent increase in colour capacity, bringing our colour page count to 16 pages".
In addition to printing Kibris Gazetesi, the new Community SSC press will also be used to print semi-commercial products including weekly English newspaper Cyprus Today.
The new press will be configured as two four-high tower units and five single colour mono units.
A new Goss high-speed N40 folder as well as seven reelstands including two zero speed splicers are also part of the order.
The new N40 folder has been designed to enhance the running of the Community SSC product range and will provide double-parallel fold capabilities.
Nevzat continues, "With a speed of up to 30,000 copies per hour, the new Community SSC press will allow us to save time and money as well as minimise waste through increased efficiencies".
"We are confident that our investment will create new business opportunities and enable us to enter the book publishing market while expanding our print capacity for newspaper dailies".
Established in 1988, Kibris Gazetesi is part of AN Graphics , a family run business with around 200 employees.
