The new shaftless Community press has been selected with two SSC folders and one of the towers will be dedicated to UV printing for greater production flexibility.
In addition to publishing its own titles, such as Jornal NH, Jornal VS, Diadio de Canoas and ABC Domingo, Grupo Sinos also prints for 40 other local titles.
The company said that the two folder configuration will allow it greater flexibility including, in conjunction with the UV capability, printing coldset newspaper products and semi-commercial publications.

Mag And Catalogue Printer's Gapless Goss Presses
One of the largest magazine and catalogue printers in North America has ordered two new gapless web presses and three finishing systems from Goss International.
Goss said that continuous development of the Community press design and new features make today's model a reliable and economic choice as it is suitable for local newspaper and contract print production.
The new Community press for Grupo Sinos will be supplied with zero-speed splicers and NP600 infeeds for each four-high tower, providing improved web guidance and tension resulting in a high quality end product, it is claimed.
Julio Gostisa, sales manager for Goss International in Latin America, commented: "As with all markets today there is a requirement in Brazil for more colour and better quality.
Not only will Grupo Sinos achieve increased capacity and enhanced quality with the new press, but they will benefit from production improvements too.
The flexibility and ease-of-use of the Goss Community press is particularly valuable to this project because of the high volume of jobs they deliver on a daily basis." Gostisa added: "Brazil continues to be a very important market for Goss International.
With a trend for popular tabloids printed in full-colour, each major player in the market has been obligated to create a newspaper to compete.
Grupo Sinos has always been one step ahead of the game, partly because the company retains its flexibility for customers.
I am impressed with the passion each employee has shown towards the company and the project, it is sure to be a success." Founded in 1957 by two brothers Mario Alberto Gusmao and Paulo Sergio Gusmao, Grupo Sinos started as a newspaper publishing business.
Today the company also owns several radio stations and provides internet services for the region.
