HP's Entry Level and Indigo Presses Emerge
Hewlett-Packard has announced two entry-level digital printers and two new Indigo presses.
Both also have major enterprise customers expected to benefit from the speed and volume capacity of the advanced new HP Indigo Press w3200.
At Rastar Digital Marketing, the new HP press will be used to print one-to-one direct mail pieces for major car dealerships across the U.S., along with catalogs and promotional materials for a well-known beverage company.
?We expect the w3200 to produce anywhere from two to four times as much volume as our five existing HP Indigo presses, which is attractive from an economic perspective.
And we're very excited about the quality, which is even better than that of the HP Indigo 3000,? said Rastar president Kevin Despain.
At Strine Printing, the HP Indigo Press w3200 will be initially utilized for brochures, sell sheets and point of sales materials for major players in the pharmaceutical, confection, greeting card and trading card industries, with a similar emphasis on variable data and personalization.
?The w3200's speed gives us a distinct advantage in the digital field and allows us to be more competitive when we bid on digital jobs, variable jobs and larger quantity runs,? said Pat Strine, the company's owner and vice president.
