Imageco, based in Leeds (UK) has invested in two HP Scitex XL1500 (XLjet Premium) and two HP Scitex FB6300 (VEEjet+) digital printers, expanding the range of markets that the company can explore Managing director of Imageco, Steve Johnson, said: "We've been doing lots of banner work on the printers, especially on canvas

The printers have given us the opportunity to carry out some really high profile jobs, for example stadium branding and building wraps.

Since the investment in the printers we have also been winning an increasing volume of retail work." He continued: "There is a currently a big trend towards short runs in the POP and POS market and the HP Scitex FB6300 is the perfect tool for exploiting this.

The printer allows us to do runs of four or five prints to the low hundreds economically, and with all the flexibility digital printing offers." The HP Scitex FB6300 extends the variety of products that Imageco can offer its clients in the POP and POS market.

The HP Scitex FB6300 is the only digital system equipped with a stationary vacuum table that can handle heavy and fragile substrates, increasing the range of materials that can be printed, said HP.

That flexibility is essential in POP and POS market as customers are constantly looking for new ideas for displays to make their products stand out, added the company.

Originally offering photographic laboratory services, Imageco has expanded its market since its conception in 2000 and now provides its customers with a complete image service from printing, to finishing, graphics mounting, laminating and encapsulation, as well as exhibition stand design and building.
