Q-Advertising (Q-Ads) in Bangkok (Thailand) has conducted a major project for Thai bank Kasikorn Bank using its HP Scitex XL1500 printer.

Q-Advertising (Q-Ads) in Bangkok (Thailand) has conducted a major project for Thai bank Kasikorn Bank using its HP Scitex XL1500 printer.

The XL1500 printer was installed, along with an HP Sctitex TJ8300, last December.

Part of Kasikorn Bank 'K Heroes' campaign, the project involved transforming the exterior of some of Bangkok's most recognisable buildings with gigantic building wraps.

The company produced wraps to cover the bank's headquarters, which sits next to the landmark Rama IX bridge, as well as the bank's Phaholyothin building and its flagship branch in Siam Square.

With over 12,000 square metres of material to print within a tight deadline, Churaiporn Uthaisang, owner of Q-Ads, said: "This was one of our most high-profile projects to date and we knew from the beginning that it would not be an easy task.

However, we knew the HP Scitex XL 1500 could print at speeds of up to 124 square metres per hour (1,335 square feet per hour) without compromising on quality.

We completed the project on time and to a standard of which we are very proud." The project has helped cement Q-Ads' leading position in Thailand's bank advertising market.

Each year the company places its banners, lightboxes and wall graphics at over 1,000 branches of Thailand's leading banks.

Over the last year, Q-Ads has produced more than 100,000 square metres of banners for the Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) alone, on the HP Scitex Grand and the HP Scitex XL1200.

SCB has 850 branches all over Thailand and each displays at least three promotional items printed by Q-Ads.

HP Scitex's Bunjong Wijakanawong, said: "We produced all 850 branch billboards for SCB in Thailand.

We worked intensivelyy in the testing stage, ensuring standards were as high as possible in terms of durability, structure and quality.

The HP Scitex equipment exceeded both our own and our client's expectations." Q-Ads said that it continues to look towards the future and watches innovations and trends in the marketplace.

The company harbours further expansion plans, hoping to extend its range of services in to the packaging market in the near future.
