Digital Press Fuels Expansion Programme
The HP Indigo press 5000 is propelling Proco in to the next phase of commercial digital printing.
The new press, purchased at London's Digital Print World (DPW) exhibition, will meet the growing demand for variable data and short-run printing.
Repropoint uses its existing HP Indigo 5000 to produce marketing material, such as newsletters and brochures and it is developing a personalisation and variable data service - something the company will progress with the second press.
HP liquid ink technology is a key feature Repropoint intends to promote and was an integral part of the decision to invest in the new system, said HP Indigo.

Six-Colour Digital Press For Variable Data Print
Repropoint has installed a six-colour HP Indigo press 5000 at its Woking, Surrey (UK) operation to respond to market demands for the production of print using personalisation and variable data.
Many of Repropoint's customers require litho quality print for applications only possible with digital printing, added the company.
Paul Randall, marketing manager for the UK and Ireland at HP Indigo, said: "Enterprises are looking for ways to make their marketing collateral unique and variable data and personalisation are ideal ways of achieving this.
HP's presence at DPW provided Repropoint with an opportunity to expand its digital print services by investing in an additional HP Indigo press." Steve Hallett, operations manager at Repropoint, commented: "Our HP Indigo 5000 has been operating at full capacity, running on average 70 hours per week.
The new press will enable us to grow our business, explore exciting opportunities and new markets." With jobs already lined-up for the new press the company has strengthened its sales force to promote its expanding digital capacity and launched a new on-line ordering system, he added.
Hallett explained: "We spent 18 months researching the market to ensure we invested in the best, most versatile and reliable digital printing equipment.
The HP Indigo 5000s enable us to produce seamless colour printing without time delays or waste.
The colour vibrancy never fails to impress our customers." In addition to its Woking head office, Repropoint has an additional four sites across the south east of England.
It has spent over 30 years building its printing facilities from specialist services for architects, engineers and the construction industry to being a full print service provider, it added.
Repropoint's investment in HP technology extends beyond its two HP Indigo 5000s as the company is an established re-seller of HP large format printers, selling a range of the Designjet series machines.
