HP's Entry Level and Indigo Presses Emerge
Hewlett-Packard has announced two entry-level digital printers and two new Indigo presses.
After growth in the HP Indigo market Decaprime has grown in to an independent business unit focusing on treatment services and is now using its expertise to treat commercial substrates officially for HP Indigo customers, said the company.
As an authorised treatment facility, Decaprime will treat a variety of media for use on HP Indigo presses.
The qualified media will yield greater opportunities for HP Indigo customers, with over 95 per cent of all printing papers in the traditional litho market being treated by Decaprime for use on HP Indigo presses, said HP.
Frans Postma, supplies and media sales operations manager at HP Indigo, commented: "HP Indigo can now offer its commercial customers a solution for problematic substrate printing.
Decaprime is an excellent company for providing this service and meets HP approval for quality and service.
Its service will enable HP Indigo presses to operate at a consistently high performance rate whilst printing on some unusual substrates." The company has worked with HP Indigo suppliers for 10 years providing media treatment services and has worked towards MTC status for the last year.
Remko Roest, co-owner of Decaprime, said: "We have worked with HP to develop a strong partnership; both companies have something important to offer and that can only benefit HP Indigo press users." In the future, Decaprime will offer a dedicated technical helpline for advice on media.
The MTC and HP will conduct an audit every three months to ensure that Decaprime is providing the services required by customers, added HP.
Roest added: "We are willing to trial any media a customer asks us to and we have treated most papers on the market, from the basic to the exotic high value hand-made papers with a near 100 per cent success rate.
We can count on two hands the number we have not been able to treat successfully.".
