Hewlett Packard will exhibit at Focus on Imaging 2007, Europe's annual photographic and imaging industry event - where it will feature the latest in its photographic and imaging technology.

Those products will show 4" x 6" mobile consumer printers to the brand new 60-inch wide Z-series Pigment ink printers.

HP said it will be inviting visitors to try out the new range of printers designed in response to the demand for more high quality, large format printing of photographic images by going to the HP stand with a disc of their images (A4, Photoshop-ready).

The HP the team will then print them off on the Z series printer on a variety of media.

Each section of the HP Stand at Focus will demonstrate various aspects of the industry, including an Indigo press, cameras and printing, imaging, mono photography, a photo studio and the large format printing area.

The new Designjet Z series is claimed to be the first ever printer to be embedded with a spectrophotometer, enabling the printer to automatically generate custom ICC profiles for preferred paper, suitable for professional photographers, fine artists and graphic designers who need to create high-quality, large format (610mm to 1,117mm) prints and concept proofs with accurate and consistent colours, said HP.

With HP's new Vivera Pigment Ink system, prints from the Pro B9180, Z2100 and Z3100 printers are fade-resistant for over 200 years, according to independent testing from the Wilhelm Institute, added HP.

The HP Designjet Z series printers also provide coverage of SWOP, ISO, GRACOL, EUROSCALE, TOYO, and FOGRA gamuts for colour accuracy in pre-press applications.
