Mike Griffiths, Qubic's operations director, said: "The Indigo press 3050 was the only press in its class that truly enabled Qubic to meet the diverse needs of our customers.
From our research we concluded that the reliability and the versatility of the press is second to none.
This opinion was supported by speaking with users and manufacturers of digitally printed products throughout the whole Indigo press range." As a new HP Indigo customer and adoptee of digital printing, Qubic was encouraged to take part in HP's support programme for customers promoting their businesses in the digital market.
Representatives from Qubic attended the HP 'maximising the digital ppportunity' and 'digital selling skills' courses launched under the HP Capture business success programme.
Steve Dedo, marketing director at Qubic, explained: "As a new user of digital printing technology, I would recommend both of the courses; they were very helpful.
We were encouraged to think about how best to market the products and discussed creative selling techniques.
The course really helped me to appreciate the advantages of digital printing and to consider how it can benefit our customers." Since installing the new press in July, Qubic has been able to capitalise on its increased productivity by undertaking jobs that require a turn-around time of just a few hours, said HP.

Griffiths added: "Using the Indigo press has provided us with the opportunity to produce applications for the Cheshire Jets that would have been impossible to fulfil via the traditional litho print process, given the extremely short lead times imposed upon us.
Our customer has been very happy with the print quality produced by the Indigo press 3050 and delighted by our new digital service.".
