HP's Entry Level and Indigo Presses Emerge
Hewlett-Packard has announced two entry-level digital printers and two new Indigo presses.
Each mailer contained personalised images and text customised to suit the recipient's interests and the campaign is claimed to have generated a 16 per cent response rate.
According to HP, RPS re-invested in a seven-colour HP Indigo press 5000 to complement the quality of its lithographic work and to encourage its customers to utilise its digital printing service.
The company has been a HP customer since 2002 and specialises in producing a range of collateral, including personalised brochures, leaflets, newsletters, reports, marketing material and stationery for its customers.
Asif Choudry, the sales and marketing director at Resource Print Solutions, commented: "Our new press does a lot more than print.
It allows us to produce value added collateral that can make a real difference to our customers' businesses." He added: "We work a lot with marketing teams and advise them on appropriate print production methods, paper stocks, finishing and distribution processes.
We will use our new press to help our clients make best use of their customer data.
By using variable data technology to create targeted and relevant marketing collateral that can help drive their businesses by generating an increased response rate to their promotions and campaigns." Choudry explained that many of his company's customers are used to lithographic print, so RPS needed a press that was versatile, reliable and that could produce high-quality digital applications.
And he added: "Our customers have been very happy with the results and cannot tell the difference between our digital work and applications produced lithographically.
Since installing the press we have experienced increased customer loyalty and have attracted new business.".
