HP supplies HP Scitex FB6100 to John E Wright

A Hewlett-Packard product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Oct 23, 2008

Hewlett-Packard (HP) has announced that John E Wright has added a HP Scitex FB6100 UV printer to its main print facility to increase production and grow its UV direct print-to-substrate business.

Having already installed one HP Scitex FB6100 UV printer at the Nottingham facility in 2006, increased demand led to the need for a second machine at the site.

The HP Scitex FB6100 Printer can print onto almost any rigid, thick or heavy specialty media, from standard Foamex, MDF and plastic to glass, wood and metals.

The built-in roll-to-roll capability also enables printing onto roll-fed flexible media such as vinyl, banners and papers.

Applications include indoor and outdoor signage, point of sale, billboards, building wraps and almost any display graphic.

The machine offers a choice of eight-colour, six-colour or four-colour printing and has the additional benefit of printing white.

The machine operates at speeds up to 100m2/hour.

Tony Barnett, managing director of John E Wright and Co, said: 'Adding another HP Scitex FB6100 has helped us streamline our workflow and we now have a more productive environment.
