HP displays services at Visual Communication Italy

A Hewlett-Packard product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Nov 19, 2008

Visitors to Visual Communication Italy were able to learn about HP's digital printers, which are designed to help print service providers (PSPs) increase profits while reducing environmental impact.

The HP Scitex FB7500 printer can operate at speeds of up to 500M2 an hour (5,380ft2 an hour) and has three-quarter automated loading to reduce idle time between sheets by up to 85 per cent.

The FB7500 printer is suitable for close-view POP and POS applications, exhibition graphics, signage, backlit displays and posters.

It is built on the HP Scitex TJ Series printing platform and offers HP Scitex X2 printheads, which combine silicon-based micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) and piezoelectric inkjet technology.

The HP Scitex FB950 printer is a flatbed UV printer that can print on most rigid or flexible substrates for the production of durable outdoor and indoor applications.

It was designed to increase productivity and profitability with efficient media loading.

It can print multiple sheets at the same time.

The HP Scitex XP2300 printer is a 3.2M UV roll-to-roll printer for making outdoor signs, where reducing costs per square metre is vital.

HP also showcased the HP Designjet L65500 large format signage printer, which uses HP Latex Inks, which reduce the environmental impact of printing.

The Designjet Z3200 photo printer is suitable for graphic designers, photographic and fine-art print-service providers, commercial printers and photographers.

It provides gallery-quality, mono and colour photographs, art enlargements, large-format designs and proofs.
