Digital printed full-colour books via web-to-print

Publicep, part of Grupo Publicep, of Humanes de Madrid, Spain, has installed an HP Indigo press W3250 for the production of full-colour digital books.

With the first installation of an HP Indigo commercial web press in Spain Publicep is now able to offer production of full-colour digital books via a web-to-print user interface.

HP said that production on the Indigo press is carried out at printing speeds up to 4,000 full-colour pages (duplex) per hour, or 8,000 single colour and two-colour (duplex) pages per hour.

The company also has a sheet-fed Indigo press 5000 from HP that it uses for printing full-colour covers enabling it to offer a complete digital book production service.
