SVTWO purchases HP Indigo 7000 digital press
SVTWO Digital has purchased an HP Indigo 7000 digital press for personalised direct-mail and transpromotional work.
The Indigo 7000 digital press is designed to be suitable for use in fast-paced and demanding production environments.
HP\'s Indigo 7000 digital press produces fast turn-round direct mail and transpromotional work at SVTWO Digital in the UK.
In the transpromotional and financial reporting sectors, timely distribution, high print quality and the ability to recreate precise corporate colours and branding are important.
The Indigo 7000 is claimed to enable SVTWO, a subsidiary of the Realtech Group, to satisfy these requirements.
SVTWO has three sites in the UK: London for lithographic work; Sheffield for data transfer and web-to-print applications; and Beckenham for digital production.
Variable data printing and transpromotional work currently accounts for 30 per cent of its business.
The company specialises in producing high-quality, fast-turnaround commercial and financial work.
With ISO 27001 accreditation, SVTWO's core products include secure documentation for customers from the financial services and reporting sectors, luxury retail, communications and consumer-goods industries.
SVTWO is running its HP Indigo 7000 alongside an HP Indigo 5500 at its digital facility.
The Indigo 7000 is running at speeds of up to 120 A4 pages per minute in full colour.
The Indigo 5500 features the on-press fast ink replacement system to maximise uptime by eliminating timely ink replacement processes, according to HP.
The Indigo 7000 and the Indigo 5500 use HP's Electo Ink for consistent ink coverage to enable offset quality printing.
SVTWO's Indigo presses offer optional seven-colour printing and an ability to replicate 97 per cent of Pantone colours.
One way the company has been using its Indigo presses is to produce personalised direct mail, customised using HP's Smartstream Designer.
Rob Phillips, managing director of SVTWO, said: 'We have produced several direct-mail campaigns, all with run lengths of more than 100,000 mailers, on our Indigo 7000.
'The Indigo press and software efficiently handles the high levels of variable data needed to customise such long run lengths with ease.
'This combination of technology simplifies otherwise complicated jobs,' he added.
SVTWO has its own web-to-print capabilities, which currently account for 16 per cent of the group's revenue.
Over the coming year, the company plans to use its Indigo presses to extend this service and attract new business.
