The VOCs are burnt at a level of 99.6 per cent and only water steam and small quantities of carbon dioxide are released in to the atmosphere.
Both are non-toxic and odourless and at the same time the generated heat is used to stabilise the temperature in the factory building, which results in a better, more homogeneous product quality, said the company.
The operation of the incinerator allows the company to be in compliance with the latest environmental regulations and to improve on most statutory tolerances.
The rejections of VOC are as low as 8mg/Nm3 (milligrams per cubic metre under normal atmospheric conditions) whereas the legal limit is 50mg/Nm3, added Hexis.
