Print Management Deal Tied Up After 6-Months

The three year contract includes the management of all point of sale (POS) material, direct mail campaigns and operational print.

My Travel reviewed its print buying process to determine how it could be streamlined and controlled more effectively.

Jo Gregson, the company's procurement and logistics manager, explained: "Following an in-depth tender process over a period of six months, which included all the leading print specialists, HH Associates was awarded the contract on submission of the best overall commercial terms, along with its available technology and overall response tailored for our company.

The review of our current process highlighted that we were working with numerous suppliers for similar print requirements but under different terms and budgets.

We needed to consolidate our supplier base and agree common terms to ensure we were getting the best value for money and consistent quality across the Group." Gregson continued: "One of the most important requirements for My Travel is that we retain absolute visibility of the print process and our cost structure within the contract and that can be achieved via HH Associates' bespoke print management system." The web-based system centralises the management of all orders and allows the My Travel Group procurement team to review costs, suppliers and proofs in real-time and on-line, said HH Associates.

A dedicated team of five HH Associates staff will be working on-site at My Travel headquarters.

The account team will oversee the entire project lifecycle from specification efficiency and effectiveness, to supplier selection and campaign execution.

Warehousing and logistics of all My Travel printed material has also been outsourced to HH Associates and will be handled from its warehouse in Blackburn (UK).
