Following sustained growth in the wider European print management market, HH has strengthened its senior management team with the appointment of Alex Barnes as group IT director.

Barnes joins HH from Communisis, where he worked for 13 years, initially driving the strategic IT development of Centurion and subsequently spearheading the wider technology proposition of the Communisis group.

The role at HH will see Barnes drive the strategic development of HH's e-technology service, which currently encapsulates tools for cost management, branding, asset and media management and on-line publishing.

The HH network currently extends to over 30 established offices across Europe, supporting a mix of local and pan-European clients via systems demanding dedicated resources and technology.

It is anticipated that further expansion will take place in 2006 as the company currently expands in to new regions such as Greece and the Middle East.

On joining HH, Barnes commented: "I am thrilled.

The company has been headlining the industry for the past 18 months and is able to offer me fresh challenges, whilst harnessing my experience of design-to-print application solutions." Barnes follows a growing number of ex-Communisis plc staff who have moved to HH, including DM specialist Simon Richardson and POS specialist Mark Smith who both previously worked in the city of London on accounts including Sainsbury's and Britvic.
