The new larger freehold premises, just 200 yards from its former Nottingham (UK) home gives Pyramid Press more space and better working efficiency.
The CD102-6LX will run double day shifts alongside a CD74-6L installed six months ago and other B2 presses.
Frank Dillon, managing director, said: "Six colours will give us flexibility because as a commercial printer we have to cope with all the varied demands put upon us.
It's an adventurous investment.
The CD will enable us to handle all types of stock, as with the greater rolling power, we will achieve better inking.
Coating we specify as a standard these days, turn-rounds dictate it and people like the feel of it." Planning ahead, the company had specified B1 when it upgraded its pre-press with a Topsetter 102 CTP system 18 months ago.
The company is also taking a TD66 buckle folder and a Polar 115X guillotine to convert printed sheets into trimmed sections or finished product.
The company takes work from throughout the UK.
It produces brochures, leaflets, posters and other general promotional and business print.
