90m Sheets On Single Press At Moscow Printer
Moscow printer Extra Print has secured a special record - by printing 90 million sheets on its Heidelberg Printmaster QM 46-2 press.
RTW partner Rod Richardson said: "I liked the quickness of everything, the speed of set up and that the two colours go onto one blanket which means that registration can't go wrong".
Richardson formed the company with Roger Taylor and Chris Wrightson in 1988.
The company has always been equipped with good second hand presses but it did buy two new Polar guillotines from Heidelberg.
As manageable monthly repayments to the bank are cleared the company invests again.
RTW Printers generates work from the local area, from its base in Kettering and nearby Corby and Northampton and many of its original customers remain with the company to this day.
The company which has in-house pre-press and finishing facilities operates a flexible day shift.
