Kall Kwik Middlesbrough offers a design to distribution service across a broad range of products from printed matter to exhibition hoardings.
Its offset litho business operates 24 hours a day and accounts for 75 per cent of turnover.
Even other printers place work with the franchise operation, a specialist in fast response business to business trading across the UK said Heidelberg.
The owner, Piers Mitchell assessed presses from a number of suppliers before determining on the SM 52.
"What I like most is the productivity and speed it gives me.
There are some very good enhancements on the SM 52 since we last boughta press, including the new control centre," he said.
The company has specified coating on the press.
"The coater is chosen because of the quality of finish and with the air dryers the speed at which we can get work off to be cut, scored, folded and so on.
We are very deadline driven," added Mitchell.
The new press is additional and will create five new jobs in pre-press and press areas.
Mitchell commented that he believes commercial printers are today being forced to emulate the quickprinter one stop ethos.
"Currently many printers still produce a colour sheet and have to pass it to the mailing house to personalise, add data and distribute but we have had this fulfilment capability under one roof from the start," he said.
